Law of Attraction and Tragedy

Recently in my city there has been several tragic deaths. One involved a motor vehicle accident in which 2 young women were killed 3 other young women injured. While the driver, a 17 yr. old girl walked away from the scene.

Just last week a relative of my daughter-in-law was killed in another motor vehicle accident. This relative was 28 yr. old beautiful woman who had just been married a few weeks earlier and was on her way to work in the morning, when the drunk driver slammed into her car. The drunk driver also survived.

I was asked about how the Law of Attraction could possibly be the reason behind these terrible senseless deaths of these lives that were cut too short. I honestly didn’t have an answer and struggled with it myself after the death of the young bride. But I did know that there are some things in life that we don’t have the answers to. There is a power greater than ourselves in affect, and although we don’t know the reason or might not be able to ever justify the tragic loss; know that there is a purpose for everything that happens.

Did those women bring this on themselves using the Law of Attraction? The answer….NO…..not intentionally by their physical self. Remember that we are an souls having a physical experience and not the other way around. Here is part of an article that I recently came across on the subject that I believe explains it well.

There are everyday experiences (that we co-create with others) and then there are destiny experiences (that we co-create with our higher self in order to fulfill a higher purpose).

Profound, life-altering, evolutionary experiences such as death, traumatic assaults or accidents, natural disasters and group catastrophic experiences are part of a Higher Order. I believe that we cannot observe these events from our normal vantage point of finite conception and expect to understand.

If it’s really, ‘all good, all the time’ and ‘all is always in Divine Order’, then I choose to know that even those life-altering experiences that my small-self can’t understand are part of a bigger picture.

The Higher Order, which is always aligned with our Higher Purpose, operates in agreement with our soul’s intentions. Our soul set forth certain intentions prior to birth that most of us are not consciously aware of. We create with our thoughts every day while maintaining our soul’s agreements.

I’m not suggesting that destiny or some pre-ordained plan for our life asserts itself over our will and therefore we are not co-creators in these experiences – we are. The Universal Laws are still operating in perfect order whether it’s an ‘everyday experience’ or a ‘destiny experience.’

However, these Higher Order experiences are a part of our soul’s intentions. We may never become fully aware of these intentions but we operate in alignment with being at that ‘right place at the right time’ to co-create them never the less. And, we still maintain free will and may choose to fulfill our ‘soul’s intentions’ in a million different ways.

About 12 years ago, I attended an Abraham (www.Abraham-Hicks.com) conference and asked this very same question. Additionally, from their vantage point, there really is no such thing as death – only a change in the energetic frequency of the experience.

Now, with my everyday experiences, here’s where I’ve landed that ‘feels’ the most congruent with the Universal Laws and Principles:

We cannot create in someone’s life without their permission and agreement. This agreement does not have to be verbal or even conscious. Our united consciousness collaborates to co-create the collective experience.

If you or someone you know has gone through a tragedy recently what I suggest is that you get a journal to write down all the things you want to say to that person or any feelings that you have about the tragedy or situation. Putting your feelings into written form has huge healing powers. This will allow you to work through all of the stages of grief to a place of healing.
